I was long overdue for a catch up with my friend and fellow blogging pal Chloe, so we headed to the newest sibling of the Curious venues, in the Lace Market, Curious Townhouse.

Apparently at 6pm, cocktails are only £5! Well, that was all I was charged for the most amazing Lavender and Violet vodka cocktail. It was deliciously floral and was like a grown up cordial.

The menu has a nod to French dining, but is really relaxed and the venue is stunning. We sat at a little table next to the Christmas tree, and settled in for a natter.

However, directly over my friends shoulder I was eyeballed all through dinner by this monster ha.

I ordered the falafel, roasted vegetable and mint yoghurt flatbread. It was so filling! It tasted amazing. After a mediocre meal at Curious Manor a few months ago, to be honest I wasn’t that excited about the food. But it was delicious and I will definitely be back for more.

Chloe ordered the mussels, but unfortunately they weren’t available so she went for the ‘Betty’ a goats cheese, beetroot, fig and watercress flatbread. She enjoyed her meal too.

In all honesty, we were largely ignored by the bar staff who were more interested in nattering amongst themselves to serve us, and we weren’t asked during our meal if everything was ok (thankfully we had no complaints)

I would definitely go back to Curious Townhouse. I enjoyed the food so much more than at Curious Manor, the atmosphere is lovely and the breakfast sounds perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch.
